How To Teach Kids About Sex Abuse

We live in a world that is plagued with many troubles, and I do not feel that economic issues, while that’s what the media wants to focus on, are the most important issue to focus on.  One issue that I strongly feel deserves much more attention than its getting is the issue and reality of child sex abuseChild sex abuse is a growing problem in our society.  The first thing we need to do in order to better prevent this horrible crime from happening is to clearly define exactly what child sex abuse is.  Child sex abuse is any act in while a teenager or adult attempts to receive sexual pleasure from a child.  This act does not need to physically sexual; it can also be emotional.  In either case, it is a serious crime that needs to be dealt with before it happens.

The consequences of child sex abuse are tragic.  Children who fall victim to this kind of horror are left with depression, anxiety, stress and a situation which may never be completely remedied.

While it is a difficult situation to handle, there are ways that we can help these little ones who tragically are victims of child sex abuse.  One successful form of child abuse treatment has to do with implementing the use of anatomically correct dolls.  These dolls have been purchased by many police units and schools as a means to help children understand their bodies and their sexual parts.  While we can this a form of treatment, these unique dolls can also be used to prevent child abuse from even happening.  The more children know, the more likely they are to report potential predators before these tragic realities even take place.  Our children are God’s gift to us, and we must do whatever is in our means to help love them and protect them.
